There is evidence for common ancestry. That's why it's the consensus. ERV's are an excellent example. I've already explained them to you, but I'll do it again for other people.

ERVs (Endogenous retroviruses) are genes that viruses insert into the germline of an organism, which are passed to offspring. ERV's are inserted at a random position out of billions, meaning it is extremely unlikely for two organisms to share an identical ERV unless they inherited it from a common ancestor.

All animals share ERV's. The amount of ERV's two species share corresponds perfectly with how close they are on the proposed evolutionary tree, which corresponds perfectly with the nested hierarchies we observe in taxonomy, which corresponds perfectly with the order in which different clades appear in the fossil record.

You may not consider this proof, but if you don't think this is evidence, you don't understand it.
