Take from below I-80 south to I-39 north and put it in Indiana
Take from I-80 south from I-39 north and split it between Iowa and Missouri

They are transplanting the criminals slowly but surely into the far far suburbs, so naturally crime will go up as more democrat voters are moved. Fortunately there isn't a bus line out here so they have to walk everywhere, unless they steal a bike.

Wrong. The same wrong-ass policies in Chicago abound in the surrounding counties. I spent almost 30 years in Lake and McHenry Co. Insane property taxes, bullshit teacher's unions striking constantly to drive up wages, pensions, etc.

Where Chicago is a problem is they vote (or cheat) overwhelmingly dumbocrap and as a result we were not able to do anything about Springfield and the entrenched dumbocraps there to get anything changed.

IL has hundreds of BILLIONS in unfunded pension liabilities...numerous efforts to do anything about this have been shot down by the courts. There is even a constitutional amendment preventing them from changing any obligation regarding public pensions once it's made. Local school boards are barred from hiring professional negotiators to deal with the sharks from the union, so you have Franny the cupcake maker vs. Jimmy Hoffa, basically. No wonder their pensions and salaries are so insanely good!

I moved out of there 7 years ago...went to TN. Four of my five kids, plus my brother and family have come here. The one daughter that is in IL won't listen to me. She and her BF even tried to buy a house recently! Dear god, imagine what's going to happen to property taxes when the place goes tits up for real. She doesn't believe me. She'll find out. Luckily they aren't quite ready financially and have to save 2 more years to buy the house. Hopefully things will collapse before that happens.
