Guys, the problem is not illinois. The problem is the couple of corrupt people running the rich democratic populous stronghold coutntes that override the will of the 90 plus percent of other counties. The majority of illinois counties are right center and voted for trump last fall. Neuter the power of the handfull of corrupt counties around chicago and you have fixed the problem.

THREE things should be done:

1) Draw a line due south for 50 miles from the southern most point of Lake Michigan; then draw a perpendicular line west to the western most part of Illinois and East to a point 30 miles PAST the Illinois/Indiana Border. Separate out the area north of that line up to the next northern states' borders ... and call it the new COUNTRY of Chicongo.

2) Prohibit all aircraft flying out of the Country of Chicongo to land anywere in the US ... and prohibit any rail traffic into and out of Chicongo from passing through the United States.

3) Prohibit all Chicongoanders from emigrating to, or even getting a Green Card to work in, the United States.

VOILA ...

Chicongoanders can live the kind of life that they want to live, financed the way they want to finance it, and just generally enjoy their Liberal philosophy. The rest of the US can get rid of the Blight Of Middle America.

I'm from Illinois, so I will assume you aren't from your moronic statement. The last 3 liberal governor's have all ended up in federal prison for corruption charges. Mike Madigan is the leader of the House, and he and his libtard sheeple demoncrats are the ones who refuse to negotiate to try and fix this mess that they have been creating for the last 30 years.

I hope the People's Republic of Illinois bankrupts. The only real way to fix that state is to separate the Chicagoland area and make it its own state. Downstate residents are tired of one city making all the political decisions.

This is always a foolish statement because no one is talking doom, only change and change happens constantly. When you fail to pay your mortgage the mortgage holder kicks you out of your house and takes it over. When you fail to make your car payments, the lien holder sends in the repo man who brings your car back to the new, original owner. The same thing happens when any debt is defaulted on, the lien holder takes over. The question is, who will that be and how will things change under new management? Survival is not accomplished by the smartest or the strongest, but by those that are most able to adapt to change.

Needless to say Illinois (and most like California at some point in the future) figured that the federal government would bail them out. They gambled, and now they probably have an administration that won't be so forgiving. I really do like Chicago, but they made this mess they need to deal with it. And I do wonder what the process would be for a county to succeed from a state. Has it ever been done?

I would think that once the maximum amount of profit can be had by those who hold the debt then they will pull the plug. Until then they will continue to drag in as many suckers as they can. The government pension scam has certainly gone way out of control and is possibly the biggest reason that it is all imploding. Here in NJ and neighboring NYC there are far too many double and triple dipping government pensioners that are collecting over $300K a year after retiring from multiple government jobs. The last I saw, an article in the NY Post claimed that NYC pays out more in pensions every year than it costs to run the entire NYPD.

Scams like these may be well and good to run in good times where the taxpaying losers are all making decent salaries but during times like today where the private sector is taking it in the shorts, it is going to crash and burn. It has to. A friend who socializes all the time in NYC tells me how everyone he talks to brags about how many part time jobs they have, all with low pay and no bennies. An economy full of these kinds of working class cannot bear the burden of an army of high paid layabouts in Florida or Delaware collecting government paychecks. It just doesn't work.

China will take it and institute the rule of law. Then exterminate the lawbreakers. It would make a good colony.

I was a wargamer back in the seventies, and I knew Gary Gygax, among others who created Dungeons and Dragons, but not very well. Only over the gaming tables.

I read his biography last year. It was a trip down memory lane, and an insight into much of what I only heard about through rumors from other gamers - like the hostile takeover of TSR.

Gygax was involved in Chicago politics as a volunteer for the Republicans, and he witnessed the massive Democratic vote stealing in Chicago, which elected Kennedy.

His own party leaders told him not to act on it and present his evidence, but they turned out to be corrupt too.

But even when I was a child, I heard plenty about the corruption of Illinois politics in Chicago.

There is no way that the State Government nor the city government of Chicago can live up to the ridiculous retirement benefits of the State and city employees--past or current-- nor continue outrageous Medicaid payments, nor pay teachers to try to teach unteachables.
