My Cat Got Shot And Killed

Around 7pm, my husband heard a gunshot. A couple of minutes later, when I opened the door to take my old dog Sheba out, I saw one of our cats, White Foot, laying next to the stairs. He had been shot, and from the size of the bullet hole, by a 22. I tried CPR, but there was no bringing him back, as his lungs were full of blood.I could hear the blood sloshing in his lungs when I did the chest compressions.
I called the police, as the shot sounded like it came from the gangbangers house on the corner. The gangbangers had been partying at their house since about noon.
When the police arrived, I was holding my dead cat wrapped in a towel, sitting on my front steps, my cats blood all over my clothes, and bawling my eyes out.There was nothing the police could do. The gangbangers would not cooperate with the police, but they were told if they cranked up their music again, they would be cited. I didn't see who shot my cat, so there was nothing the police could really do. We buried White Foot an hour ago.
White Foot was my 14 year old dog Sheba's walking companion.He showered Sheba with affection, always rubbing against her, and licking her face. White Foot was very young, only a year and a half old.
We are in shock.I still have to change out of my bloodied clothes and try to get some sleep.

Oh no! How horrible! I'm soooo sorry. It is hard enough to lose a pet without it being to such a violent act.

You're in my thoughts. I'm so sorry. I know it is hard.

May the LORD comfort your heart as its breaking. I was in animal rescue for 8 years and I've seen too much suffering in the kitty world.

People are so very cruel, but I can PROMISE you God will have his day in court and the people responsible for the death of your BELOVED KITTY will pay. The shock and disbelief you're going through is horrible. I would never dismiss your pain.

I don't know if your believe in God and His Son Jesus Christ as YOUR SAVIOR. If not, maybe someday you will.
Just remember this . . every true Christian upon their death goes to Heaven; and I can guarantee you their beloved animals WILL be with them eternally .

Im sorry to hear that. 2 of my cats were shot in south florida. 1 died and 1 lived. Im sorry for your loss.
