I take boron here and there for calcium absorption, I believe.

My problem is from kidney failure - my body contained way too much calcium in my blood stream as it messed up my parathyroid glands. They were finally removed a year ago, but I spent about 13 years with so much calcium being removed from bone and circulated to deposit elsewhere. I am wondering if this would even be safe for someone like me to do, considering I have a transplant and I am on a lot of medications for that. Not sure what the borax would do, suppose I could look for contraindications and drug interactions of boron to start with. I cannot risk messing up my transplant, or I'm dead, but I SO miss being creative! When you mention that, it really piqued my interest. I figured it was due to loss of hormones, as my creativity really took a dive when kidney failure put me in really early menopause, but it could also be from the calcified stuff in my system taking over and not to mention just health issues. I really feel like I lost all my spark when all that happened, used to just have those creative juices flowing all the time. Doesn't even feel like me any more without that aspect, just sort of a boring, black and white version of self. Sure you can relate.
