When I first read this my thought was that he is not dead. He is in hiding and the parents know it. They want the investigations to go forward but do not want so much digging that it becomes known that he is in protective custody till they get to the bottom of this. Just a hunch but it makes sense. Otherwise a normal family would want everyone to chime in and investigate. Why else would the parents want to thwart any other opinions? They know much more than they are giving out.  I have thought the same. It works to some extent, in some cases. However if we apply the same absurdity to, say, and airline crash--no one would accept the concept of family members demanding an investigation or reporting cease for "privacy concerns." The average person would agree that privacy does not outweigh the public good. |
