Yea,but no.

I would like a family some day.

When I get my new job I will be making at least 50-55k a year.

As long as I have a husband with a decent paying job also, I think I'll be fine.

I won't have a child unless I'm married anyway.
 Quoting: CigarTigher

CigarTigher, honey I think you'll do fine, just stay away from those without your values...don't give in to some low life because you think your clock is ticking. That's the mistake I made and it lead to 10 years of loneliness and heartache and 8 different custody court battles after she left. Yes I had a family but now my kids are messed up and now I'm getting too old to start over.

Even though I don't know you I think you're a good woman...don't compromise. God bless you honey.

Re: Anyone else pretty much given up on dating?
women are fickle, get one 10 years older than you and she will appreciate and value you way more.

Women your age or younger will always look at other men as potential upgrade to you.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 73235996

This advice is ridiculous, of course a woman ten years older than you would appreciate you, because she is getting a guy way above her league. What kind of loser are you to even think about a notion like this? Basically you are opting to be second choice, because she turned down thousands of men like you when she was younger and now that she is older she is ready to settle down and appreciate a man. Forget that.

I mean I understand where you are coming from, everyone wants to be appreciated by a partner and if you Are dating most women they can not appreciate you because they have hundreds of men trying to pursue them at the same time.

But I don't Think the answer is to date women ten years older than you just to get that feeling of being appreciated. Remember even 40 year old women have hundreds of men in their twenties trying to beg them for sex. Will she be more likely to appreciate you? Sure she will, but by dating women 10 years older you are encouraging women to play this game of only dating chads in their twenties and thirties and then finally finding a stable man in her 40's. don't encourage this behavior, stay single, don't give them a relationship.

I know there are some good men, but I have all but given up trying. I want a committed thing with a good companion and that's been hard to find.

And as I get older I get way more picky. Being with someone who hasn't gone down the rabbit hole would be impossible. And there's the whole healthy lifestyle situation too. So I haven't quite given up, but not actively trying anymore. The disappointments hurt too much!

Re: Anyone else pretty much given up on dating?
I am an older woman who has raised her family and as of last year realized I will live it out alone. It is a hard realization. I just don't feel like cleaning up after anyone else or dealing with someone's rotten ex-wife.

I did not picture my later years like this, but it is what it is.

Had I know I would be alone, I would have planned my finances differently. Now I am constantly playing make up as far as my 401k, etc. goes.

Yes, it is lonely. But being abused is much, much worse than being alone. The cost is loneliness once or twice a month. The benefit is not having to report to someone else or explain my actions. All in all, I am happy 28 days out of 30. I'll stay this way.

Yeah, I've quit. Was starting to like this one chick, but she is leftist retarded and recently warned me she just farted in the copier room! Fuck that!

Re: Anyone else pretty much given up on dating?
I used to expect a date, but after being the sole one making an effort, I realized dating wasn't missing from the relationship. I expect honesty and kindness from a clear eye, a truthful heart and compassion with the capability to grow together. I don't want someone who's been complacent in a rotten relationship. Make it work from the spirit up. It doesn't take a "date" to get that, it takes a willingness to get to know someone, date or not.

Meet people, don't become reclusive.

Yes I have given up. At my age it is no big deal. I was married over 30 years and my wife died of cancer.

The younger ones are insane.

The middle age females are mostly prescription drug junkies

The older women have way too much baggage for me to deal with.

Political differences, religious differences, our modern culture has become so divisive that opposites no longer attract but are now irreconcilable differences. Long distance relationships(often the result of online dating) are basically doomed from the start.

I'm a married 40 year old male. Met a 23 year old girl in a chat room who lives 15 minutes from me. She wants me to bang her so hard. Always sending me pics and videos where she's moaning my name. I won't touch her cause I won't cheat. But it's pretty entertaining.

Get out there Chad. You can find one like her.

I'm an optimist long term, but the recent past was a drain and I didn't waste the effort on the dating game, them you see brainwashed idiots on Tinder saying "If you voted for Trump, swipe left". It can lead one to wonder if intelligent life exists or if everyone is just a programmed lazy clone.

I am married but it's pretty much on the rocks. I'm just sticking it out for the kids right now. If and when I become single again - I will remain so. After dealing with all the bullshit of the institution they call marriage it's a real downer to consider getting tied down again. Young people are wise to flip their fingers at the Old custom that no longer works.

i came to the conclusion monogamous relationships just dont make any sense. men and women are to different.

i have given up on finding a mate. so many women are stuck to the old way of doing things which never worked for anyone.

As an old woman I have observed this. Went to dinner and a young couple were on what looked like a first date. The young man was clearly not the center of attention. She kept looking at her cellphone and texting. I made eye contact with the young man and slightly shook my head no. I hope he didn't ask her out again. What was she doing? Just looking for a free meal I guess.

I need a girl. Because when I get bored I put on my golf spiked shoes, strip her naked then kick her around the fucking house. The dog starts barking... he likes it. She screams and tries to get away but I push her down the fucking steps into the sound proof basement. Sometimes I pick up a baseball bat and whack her in the fucking knee so she don't run so fast. I tie her to the iron post in the basement. Then I call weatherman Frankie MacDonald to come over and fuck her as I record it and laugh. I tell Frankie to yell... "MY VERY OWN TV STATION IN SYDNEY NOVA SCOTIA ... THE PERV CHANNEL".... oh we have fun in my house.lotion5wtf 10
