If he did nothing, the letter said, the HOA would fine him and could ultimately place a lien on his home. This is why I would NEVER live in an HOA...They have WAAY too much power, and its usually a retired old bity that does shit like this because they have nothing else better to do. Yes, this is exactly why you NEVER buy a home governed by a HOA. We bought ours in what USED to be one. And the old bitty behind us HATED us because we wouldn't pick up sticks that fell from trees into HER yard. Apparently, the guy that lived in our house before used to do it for her. So she expected us to. We had to send the city out to talk to her several times. This led to her going to a town council meeting and asking them to force us to sell our house and move. Because we wouldn't pick up her sticks. After the meeting, just about everyone on the council congratulated us for telling her where to stick it (apparently, they'd had to put up with this before) which we did - on the record. I mocked her EVERY day that I saw her for having done that and she finally got tired and moved and now everyone in the neighborhood gets along. As far as THIS story - how fucking un-American can you get? I'm glad the Vet din't cave in and I'm REALLY glad that he won. This is the kind of bullying on our patriots that NONE of us should EVER allow to happen. ANYWHERE!
