The Sheer Number of Strange Rocks on Mars

NASA once stated in a press release that there are strange rocks on Mars just as there are strange rocks on Earth. However, the problem is the proportion of strange rocks versus normal rocks on Mars. NASA's Mars rover Curiosity has driven only 17 kilometers in Gale Crater, Mars, but it has imaged tons of strange rocks. Strange rocks are not often seen on Earth. On Earth, one cannot find tons of strange rocks in 17 kilometers. In Gale Crater, Mars, nearly all "rocks" are artifacts (note 1), and numerous "rocks" there look abnormal. Tons of rocks there look strange (note 2). So, the sheer number of strange rocks in Gale Crater makes them unlikely to be natural rocks.
