It's getting windy!

It's nasty out here right now.I just went to the Seawall to have a look

Just looked at the live feed and there is some dude standing next to one of the light poles on their pier.

Yep and it's a little over 500 feet and that idiot is, what, 50 feet from the end of it.

I keep thinking about how Galveston and the Bolivar peninsula got hammered with Ike. Some people were never found.

I was part of the first group of emergency responders across the Galveston causeway after Ike. There is a marina on the Galveston side. The entire marina, boats, wood structure, pontoons; all of it, was on the roadway. There was a bulldozer pushing mountains of debris out of the way for the vehicles to get through.

It was sort of surreal seeing all that. Over on Bolivar, it was like God had just wiped the slate clean. Everything was gone. Just a few piers standing in places.

I hope this isn't that bad.
