Anonymous Coward User ID: 74851228 United States 10/09/2017 05:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | About a year ago I was out walking my dog and took a pic of him, and a neighbor chased me down and threatened me with a knife -- he thought I was taking a pic of his dogs ... He threatened to "call the cops" on me while waving his knife around ... He's lucky he didn't do that to someone as irrational as he is, or his dogs would have been goners (easy to imagine how that could happen - I'm not that sort of person though) He was just endangering himself and his dogs acting that way, but OP is right, be careful, people nowadays are nuts |
i'm from TEXAS y'all User ID: 73938027 United States 10/09/2017 06:17 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | PLEASE SHARE AND BE AWARE: Think twice about taking pics on your cell phone in public. Quoting: Pelledan If YOU saw the spittin image of your dog in its younger days smiling up at you from the store front aisle posterboard at a nationally recognized pet store and you took a pic of the doggy poster photo to text to your spouse/significant otber to show how famous your dog is, would you be happy or furious that shortly after arriving home, your doorbell rings and you are suddenly faced with 2 police officers who came to question you about that photo because, unbeknownst to you, a child happened to be walking in the vicinity of that doggy poster, and an adult saw you take the doggy pic and felt it warranted a credible threat enough to CALL THE POLICE in fear you were a child sex offender?? ** Understanding that the officers were doing their jobs in responding to the call.... *** Agreeing 100% that our children must be freely safe to walk the aisles everywhere... We NOW cannot take ANY pictures for fear of retribution, investigation, etc...because someone with, say, willful mal intent figured out how to effectively weaponize our worst fears...harm our children ?? Stop a moment to think about all the hundreds, if not thousands of cell phone "selfies" or vacation poses, restaurant or park use celebration pics that just might have innocently captured a child nearby in that blink of an eye... Think about how photos YOU have taken in public venue and places of interest... Let that sink in. Is THIS who we really are...and want to be?? So taking pictures at DISNEYLAND is out of the question then ? about about at 4:1 kid to adult ratio there ! |

Let me see you taking pics out in public anywhere near my kids and I'm calling the cops -- was at a county fair a while back with my kids and saw a guy taking pics and I immediately went to find a police officer -- I'm not sure what happened but the cop did talk to the guy |

So I AM User ID: 69947748 United States 10/09/2017 08:37 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | What is up with everyone having to take peictures with everything they experienced anyways. Enough with the pictures. Most people don't even look at them for a second and then forget about right away. Also it is creepy to record everyting in your life capturing other peoples lives while you are at it. So stop. You are not that important. |
