Although I pritty much agree with what your saying you my friend are a bigot , just because someon smokes or drinks does not make them a liberal. To be honest I've found most bigots are liberals, if being a conservative means I need to be bigoted then we need to make up a new group, I'm certainly not liberal and nor am I a bigot. Any suggestions on the new group name ??

I don't agree. I think it is of utmost importance that people are free to do as they please, while at the same time the government has extreme restrictions on it's behavior.
Whether or not I wanna cuss or catch a buzz has no relation to how I want my government to conduct itself.

An Open Letter To Whom It May Concern

This forum is full of people who bash "the liberals" as enemies.
Yet over 12 years of reading the forum I see [liberal not conservative]
more than common use of profanity,
I see most if not all members participate in conversations about liberal not conservative
sexual lifestyles and common use of vulgaity in doing so.
I see members talk often about their drug/alcohol habits and unhealthy lifestyles
which are liberal not conservative.

I see unprofessional conduct in all things including moderating/censoring posts/threads
demonstrating liberal not conservative thinking in doing so.
If conservative not liberal thinking prevailed in forum administration/membership
then we would expect use of profanity to be banned rather than encouraging profane and
thug type mentaility, and we would expect use of threats [ie: you fag I've got guns and will
find you] and insults to be banned, but again this isn't the case, which is liberal not
conservative, as conservative families dont behave this way but shun profane insults so
common on this forum.

Liberals not conservatives use ciggarettes, drugs, liquor, fast women, fast cars, and things
promoted on the site so frequently.
The bashing of "pedos" for example isn't how professionals speak in public. My family raised
me a certain way to behave and act professionally. No profanity, insults, vulgarity,
cigarettes, liquor not social [a drink alone], Etc. So I was raised as a conservative
not liberal.

If people from this site were invited to my family's house, my dad would have to ask them
to leave, refusal or hesitation to do so would result in speedy attendance by police, and
no one in our house has a criminal record and both my parents are in advanced fields of
science and important assets to government and military therefore police wont be kind to
unwanted guest.

The system actually WORKS for those who are honest and trusteworthy, contrary to the
"conspiracy" theory that the system is corrupt, it isn't.
Families who raise kids properly aren't.
Professionals aren't corrupt or profane.

Their music, language/vocabulary and lifestyle are clean.
They don't gossip [much] about politicians or celebrities as those lifestyles aren't
compatable with family life and we all know that ["we" meaning pragmatic, intelligent,
loving people].

So many here use the "Christian" pretense as some kind of cover to mask their sleazy
lifestyle. I can say from being raised amidst the science community that most of the families
I knew [and know] don't use religion, but pratice "traditional" lifestyles not out of
religious devotion, but out of family love and common sense.

Giong to church isn't important in practising the truth.
Being intelligent, educated, and professional are!

Getting drunk or stoned are things the professional rarely or never does, on this forum
its common conversation, encouraged and the insults that result aren't banned, and if
someone who IS professional mentions it THEY can be banned for pointing out violation
of posting rules, its backwards.


My dad worked in aero-space research techology and computer engineering (a co-creator of public internet) and mother in
genetics human origins, our house stil sits in a crime-free neighborhood with few ethnics and I still
visit old neighbors frequently, it is home to ambassadors, doctors, lawyers, and educated
type people including sciences.
Police are almost never seen, but if called take 4-5 minutes to arrive.
Loud cars are not allowed or any disturbing behavior.
If GLP members came into this neighborhood, from what Ive seen police would remove or arrest
them [no reason other than being unwanted required].

I'll see Roger Walters perform here in a month at age 74.
Not cause I like Floyd [I don't like rock] but because I'm invited.
I've known personally several musicians of noteriety in my life and lived with one.
Even THEY do not behave or talk the way many GLP members do.
VERY Civil people with degrees in Music, as I also attended 3 music conservatories.


Liberal not Conservative lifestyle is what this forum REALLY promotes.
People should stop faking that they are anything else.
Also myself and my family live in a very "material" world relatively free of a lot
of the "spiritual" mumbo-jumbo I read here.

Much of my dad's work is still classified and involves some of those topics, but in pure
science, not the blah, blah, blah spritual ghost fantasies.

Where-ever I go in life, or if "afterlife" I don't expect to run into any GLP types
they wouldn't fit in to our household, we never had any "etnic" visitors either, My folks
have vacationed in Mexico a few times, as have I but a Mexican (or other ethnicity) never set foot in our house.

There was once a scientist I liked on a forum and I even followed him to GLP but he left
quite quickly and I see why, his work also connects to space-travel (my dad's patents) and was really ignored
on this forum.

Again very liberal not conservative type behavior by the forum in general.


I short judging by Vocabulary, Education, Respect Levels, Grammar, And Administration/Moderation
I cant say I think of ANY GLP member, mod, or AC Ive read on 4um that I would invite into
my father's house to introduce to my family I would trust not to offend, Insult, break steal,
or abuse the household's contents or its members.

Excellent post! Couldn't agree with ya more OP. The way the forum has evolved over the past years is what the owner wants though, he encourages those sorts of people you mentioned, unfortunately.

I agree about the language, disagree about the liberal/conservative thing though. I have a family member who’s a highly educated nuclear engineer but they’re very religious and loves Duck Dynasty... no pretensions, just regular folk. Now I don’t get it but whatever, do as they wish. Sorry you were born into such stifled minds though . And Roger Waters identifies as a socialist...
