I have been experiencing disconnects and slow performance. This mainly applies to North America, but the European areas will follow the same concept. Generally speaking, it is always best to set your router to channels 1, 6, or 11. There are a few scenarios where you should not use these, but usually you should. If you search it, you can find detailed readily available information explaining this. Basically, it is better to share a channel than to overlap. If your router is set to anything other than 1, 6, or 11, you will be overlapping them. This not only degrades the optimum performance of others around you, but yours as well, because 1,6,11 will then be overlapping you. If you download inSSIDer it can show you the surrounding wireless networks and allow you to decide which channel would be best of 1, 6, 11. Last Edited by BrokenTech on 09/02/2017 09:31 PM |
