A reporter showed people being taken there in trucks during Harvey, but the same reporter said that it was just a stop and that they would be taken to shelters after they reached the Wal-Mart. There is a thread here with a video of the report. Most of the conspiracy theories here claim that they will be used as processing centers...no shelters. |

They're not designed for that, nor the massive water loading they could be subjected to. Anything designed to stand strong in a cat 5 hurricane or any tornado needs to be purpose built. Wallmarts are designed for cheap square footage, security at ground level, and a good enough roof. There are no windows, so it would be dark when the power failed. Another thought is that when packed to the gills with unwashed females, the pussy stink could exterminate everyone. |
