Hands down favorite is Heddy Topper by Alchemist. Should only drink it out of the can since the can helps with the oils that are in the beer. It has been in the Top 5 Beers in the World for the past several years and multiple winners of the Number 1 spot. Pretty much only available in Vermont. Unpasteurized so it has to be kept and transported cold.

Honestly, I have come to like a great yeasty Lager (that is not bitter), I used to like IPA's, but can't stand the bitter hopps taste anymore

There is a belgian sour ale I love. I've had other BSA's, and I don't like them. This one is exceptional though... and is better if you can get it fresh on tap rather than bottled.

I used to enjoy a big mug of this in a frozen mug over a nice steak at Outback Steakhouse.

You let it warm up 2 degrees, you might as well pour it out.

I'd say Ale, and only because I'm a light drinker. I'll suck back 24 in a night, but then not again for half a year. Say late summer and it's been 2 weeks between a few times, then a good lager is fine.
