If the simulation started in 1947 how are there people who were born before then still alive???  for the same reason we do not know we are asleep. Imagine dreaming all this life then when you wake up, you continue as normal. but everyone was dreaming and they just setup everything in the world for you to continue from. You would never know its DAY 1, for your mind has lived 10 years, you would just continue as normal with everyone else
