BREAKING: Acid attack at Stratford tube station with dozens of emergency service vehicles scrambled to East London - at least 8 people injured

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm after the incident at the Stratford Centre, opposite Westfield, in east London.

Police said there was an altercation involving two groups of males inside the shopping centre just before 8pm on Saturday, during which the substance was thrown.

The groups ran from the scene, with some entering Stratford station.

Witnesses reported scenes of panic as the victims - all of them male - rushed to clean their wounds with water. Their injuries are not life threatening or life changing.
