I will start out by saying that the right to peacefully protest is your right in the United States. I do not argue that point at all.
However, what is going on right now is just wrong in my opinion.
The Office of the President of the United States, our Flag and our National Anthem represent something. They mean something. They are an institution that represent the greatest nation ever conceived so far. IMO.
This taking a knee, saying "I don't want to go to the Whitehouse" comments are very disrespectful to our nation, our veterans and shows that people just don't care about our country.
We are not a perfect nation. We have had many troubles over the last 2 + centuries. However, where in the world can you go and enjoy the same freedoms that we have here in the United States today?
All that I am saying is that these people have a big platform. Most have millions of dollars and can get in front of a camera almost any time.
Why do it when it disrespects our nation? There are many other places / venues that can be accomplished.
I respect any persons right to protest. I would just prefer they don't do it when it dis-honors our country and our veterans that have fought, shed blood and died for that right.
