Volcanoes are ancient doom. Kinda boring.

Not trying to be flippant or glib but my friends and I agreed it was better to die immediately than slowly in the aftermath. So scary.
I'm in California & feel I will go out quickly in a quake.

a volcanic winter event caused by the massive 1815 eruption of Mount Tambora

In May 1816, frost killed off most crops in the higher elevations of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont as well as upstate New York. On June 6, snow fell in Albany, New York, and Dennysville, Maine.

Cool temperatures and heavy rains resulted in failed harvests in Britain and Ireland.

Families in Wales travelled long distances as refugees, begging for food. Famine was prevalent in north and southwest Ireland, following the failure of wheat, oats, and potato harvests. In Germany, the crisis was severe; food prices rose sharply. With the cause of the problems unknown, people demonstrated in front of grain markets and bakeries, and later riots, arson, and looting took place in many European cities. It was the worst famine of 19th-century Europe.

Is this 100% going to erupt and we wait to see how bad the eruption is or is there still a chance nothing happens?

Last time eruption was VEI5. That means big eruption but only local doom. This new eruption can be maybe VEI3-6
