Quoting: omadtard 75589611 It's the only thing that has ever worked for me, pretty foolproof as u can only have one meal a day, even if you u have a high calorie meal the long fasting period seems to jkeep eveything under control... I've lost 27.1 kilos in 3 and a bit months. I have an hour eating window, nothing but water and black coffee after my meal. yes, works great, simple, awesome results. cheers |

I ate whatever I wanted too and looked like a little skinny crack head. People used to tell me I would get fat eating the way I did but they didn't know that was all I would eat until the next day. I think I consumed about 1100 to 1500 calories a meal. I didn't understand why they thought that either because it was normal for me and I hadn't changed or gained weight. |

Is it wrong to eat more than once? Before this question can be answered, one must know the 'time' first. The time for meals are two in number: purebhatta-kala — the time before the meal. pacchabhatta-kala — the time after the meal. The time from dawn to midday (noon) is called purebhatta-kala. From midday to dusk is called pacchabhatta-kala. One may eat as many times as necessary in the first period. From dusk to the next dawn is called ratti (night), and meals may not be taken at this time. This is the reason for the passage with the words to the effect that one refrains from eating at night. In the Pali of the sixth precept, it states that one will refrain from food in the vikala. What time is kala and what time is vikala? From dawn to midday (noon) is called kala (proper time) or the time that Buddhas and Ariyas take their meal. From midday to the dawn of the following day is vikala or the improper time for meals. How about taking a complete meal and dividing each portion to be eaten at different times daily. I bet you that works better for weightloss due to the body burning it as fuel faster instead of storing it longer. |

We said almost the same thing. How do you handle the social aspects of not eating when you're expected to, such as meals out, parties, etc. |

I've never been forced to really eat anything other than with granny. |

He ate on day real well then the next two days very little, then the next very well, then the next two days little. Keep doing this to fool your system not to lower it's metabolic caloric usage. When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace. jimi Believe nothing you hear and only half of what you see. I'm just a product of insufficient modality. Humans of Earth! I have come in peace. You need not fear me. I mean you no harm. However, it may be important to know that most of you will not survive the next 24 hours. And those of you who do survive will be enslaved and experimented on. You should in no way take any of this personally — it's just business! |

And my weight has stayed the same since HS. Grows the brain, too. "Fasting Increases Levels of Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF) BDNF is a protein that interacts with neurons in the hippocampus, cortex, and basal forebrain (the parts of the brain that regulate memory, learning, and higher cognitive function – uniquely human stuff). It helps existing neurons survive while spurring the growth of new neurons (neurogenesis) and the development of synapses (lines of communication between neurons). Low levels of BDNF are linked to Alzheimer’s, and supplementary BDNF prevents neuronal death, memory loss, and cognitive impairment in an animal model of Alzheimer’s disease." If I don't eat something in the morning my stomach will be growling so loud at work it is embarrassing. I like my beer too after work. Quoting: El Capo I don't know if it's the same for everyone but there was a late morning early afternoon time that I got hungry every day, like ravenous for my one meal and I went got it and pigged out and didn't get hungry again until the same time the next day. I think around 11 am, even now I get hungry at that same time but I keep my eating window open until 4 so I eat between 11-4. |
