In Europe they repeatedly broil a 10lb chunk of cheese then take it to tables and SCRAPE off the molten liquid layer of cheese onto thick slices of BREAD. Then return the big cheese back to the broiler.

I always get them at home, toasted lightly, butter and peanut butter. Slightly crisp on the outside still fluffy on the inside as they are so thickly cut.

They are thrown away in most houses here too. Same for baguettes. It's madness.
