Do you believe Jesus is the light of the world?

"Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." -John 8:12

If we are to follow the light of the world, an interesting correlation is found. That Jesus Christ also represents the single eye. He is the head and those who believe upon Him are the body. One complete body full of God's light.

"The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light." -Matthew 6:22

An allegory of Christ's earthly life can be posed as an external representation of the pineal gland (light of the body = light of the world). Light of the world embodied in the life of one perfect human being without sin.

Yet we have the free will to choose or reject Him, to remain in the body (same parable as branches to the vine John 15:5). Yet in keeping with this analogy, we are *also* to be aware of false light that exists. That is why we must know that perfect love casts out all fear.

We live in a world resulting from our ancestor's choice to eat the forbidden fruit ... when Eve gave Adam the apple from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Duality representing the human condition along with our free will choice to either accept or reject Him.

Remember, Jesus also came to reverse Adam's original sin. He came to free the captives from death (Isaiah 61:1), spoil principalities and powers in hell (Colossians 2:15), and give US the authority over death hell and the grave.

Yes the OT prophets spoke of Messiah Jesus Christ (Isaiah 53). Moses wrote about Him. The whole volume was written about Him.

"But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed." -Isaiah 53:5

39 You study[a] the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, 40 yet you refuse to come to me to have life.

41 “I do not accept glory from human beings, 42 but I know you. I know that you do not have the love of God in your hearts. 43 I have come in my Father’s name, and you do not accept me; but if someone else comes in his own name, you will accept him. 44 How can you believe since you accept glory from one another but do not seek the glory that comes from the only God?

45 “But do not think I will accuse you before the Father. Your accuser is Moses, on whom your hopes are set. 46 If you believed Moses, you would believe me, for he wrote about me. 47 But since you do not believe what he wrote, how are you going to believe what I say?”
