THE PLAGUE currently killing and infecting hundreds of people in Madagascar and East Africa is even more deadly than the Black Death which left 200 MILLION dead across the world.

A state of emergency has gripped Madagascar with schools and public meeting spaces closed, panic buying and hoarding of antibiotics, and 15,000 teachers being re-trained to spot and isolate those with signs of plague.

But the plague, which has so far killed 123 and left hundreds infected, is a super-strain which is even more infectious and deadly than famous the Bubonic Plague of the 14th century.

The Madagascar Plague is actually THREE plagues.

The first is bubonic - the type which ravaged Europe and the Mediterranean in the thirteen hundreds, leaving up to 60 percent dead.

The second is pneumonic – a super strain of the yersinia pestis bacterium which ALWAYS results in death.

The third, more rare strain, is septecaemic – a life-threatening infection of the blood.

In Madagascar plague is endemic, and flare-ups cause public health emergencies on an almost annual basis but now the nation faces an uncontrolled epidemic which is terrifying the world’s health agencies.

In any event, there's a 92.8% survival rate according to this article's math.

The info notes this strain to be more infectious and more deadly than the strain that killed 200 million. Nothing says it will also KILL more than 200 million.

The plague can be treated successfully with regular antibiotics today.

In the 14th Century it killed 60% of infected people. Obviously we have better health care now, but depending on mutations, variety of plague and speed of the spread, who knows what a global plague outbreak might look like today?

It won't affect us.
You have to understand that these people are dirty and uncivilized. The main reason for this spread is because people there live and sleep on the streets, they barely wash themselves, they dance around with corpses as a traditional ritual which spreads it even faster, etc etc.

The black death for example wouldn't even be a huge thing if it was spread today because our medicine and sanitation would render it close to useless.
To people wondering, this has been a thing in Madagascar since like a decade or more back. In 2013 for example, the same thing happened there because people ate rats AND got bit by rats.. leaving ~70 dead and 200+ infected.

The only problem I see is if this EVOLVES and renders our modern medicine obsolete, aswell as keeps spreading despite having good sanitation rules. But that's a far fetch as of now.

Why didn't they start this plague in the Islamic Countries...

This plague is man made and is a weaponized concoction of the Bubonic Plague....

In particular, the Pneumonic plague is a bacterium that is blended with a Phage. It is part virus and bacteria and that is why it is resistant to medication...
