BITCOIN ADVICE requested. Couple questions.

Hello fellow Bit-Tards,
I am a total novice at Crytocurrency trading, but I have a small amount of BTC on bittrex and I also have a small amount of BTC, ETH and LTC on coinbase. I had no BTC when the last fork occurred as I had everything in ETH back then. How is this coming fork different than the last one? If the fork is due to problems with BTC’s ability to process transactions why didn’t the last fork that created BCC/BCH solve that problem?
