My wifes company moved to Atlanta, she's been able to stay here in NJ but now needs to make the choice. My main concern is if we can afford it cause we have a sweet deal here in NJ. But this POS asshole Murphy is gonna win today and be our next Gov. The prick already said he's gonna go ape shit on the new gun laws. Hell my .22s will be assualt rifles. IDK I love it here for many reasons but I'm so damn sick of these libtard assholes. Idk much about Atlanta, we just took a trip and seems nice in areas like Buckhead,Sandy Springs, Dunwoody. I know the traffic blows, but it would be nice to not be a felon here and finally get a CCW. But on another thread people were just saying how bad Atlanta is so IDK? Any advice would be nice. Thanks!

What part of Atlanta did the company relocate to? Because of the traffic, we cannot really recommend an area unless we know what is logical for you.

I lived down in Peachtree City for years - look it up on YouTube. It's a golf cart community and everyone drives around a golf cart. Pretty fun and nice place to raise kids. But, that's on the south side and while it is close enough to the airport, you wouldn't want to commute north. Pretty good schools.

I am up by Helen now, up in the mountains. I drive in to Gainsville often and that is nice and you could live on Lake Lanier. But then again, the commute depends on the location.

My son and his wife live between Marietta and Kennesaw. That is great for them because the shopping is good and there are some nice areas which do not cost a ton, like some of the northern burbs.

Atlanta is YUGE. How far are y'all willing to travel? I would never live in Atlanta, but north and east of it are not bad.

I'm not sure if you move around a lot. What I want to tell you is kind of basic but it is huge actually.

You will be moving into a different way of living. People will actually be really different in some ways to what you are used to. You don't seem like the kind of person who doesn't adapt well. The climate, the people, the food, the accents... all will be different from what you are used to.

If you are ready for radical change then do it for the life experience. If you are a creature of habit... stay. :)

Well politicians in Atlanta are proudly touting the slogan...keeping Atlanta Black. So unless you are black, you might want to stay in Jersey.

Nobody in the rest of the united states likes your NY NJ "culture".

You simply won't fit in, your type are too abrasive and loudmouthed for the rest of America even if you don't perceive yourself that way everybody else does, stay in NJ trust me.

You'll have no real friends, no social life, everybody else's interests and manners are completely different.

I am trying to help you and the citizens of Georgia out here. Definitely not a match.

Move East of Atlanta and commute. Traffic sucks and it's pretty dangerous but I would rather live here than a free place in Jersey.

Wait. That's your choices, Atlanta or NJ? Well, since I know nothing about actually living in NJ, I couldn't give a fair answer.

But, I have heard that in past years Atlanta, what shall we say, is not like it used to be. I guess it would depend on what area you will reside/work in. It's pretty 'racial', I've heard.

No guns in NJ? Has that been decided yet? Now THAT would be paramount in one's decision, yeah?

Come to Florida. We're all sorts of people down here, mostly nice, depending on what part of Florida you settle in. Ha.

Atlanta was? Or staying in NY. I used to go shooting and camping in upstate NY but with the SAFE act it's pretty much illegal to bring anything but a shotgun. I'm worried NJ is gonna be just as bad with this scumbag new governor who will win today.
