Wish I could get the hell out of the city. I've been looking around on the Internet for land in West Virginia, but I'll probably die where I am.

When I first moved to Arkansas, I started meeting people from all over the country. I was in the Hobby Lobby parking lot in Mountain Home, and this older gentleman and his wife were getting out of their car to go in, and the man saw my Maryland license plates, and asked what part of MD I was from. I told him Baltimore, and he said he had moved here from Belair, MD years ago. We talked for a while, and he told me something many others had told me...there is land here for sale like you wouldn't believe..beautiful lots, and it's worth looking into. He recommended to me a realtor in Yellville, Arkansas, that has a unique deal going on. This is just one you can check out if you like. Some folks here might get mad at me for giving away 'their little secret', but if you really want a change of pace, where people keep to themselves and you're surrounded by miles of beautiful country...this is it. It's up to you, but I thought this might be a good place to start.

We're out in rural SC - the closest cell tower is about 10 miles away, and a lot of Internet companies don't even service this area.

Thought about getting satellite, but the prices are ridiculous, we have a little wifi box with a limited data plan so we're using the web very little - sure didn't realize how much time we used to spend on the net until moving here. Of course in the hood is was just safer to stay inside.

And yes, the gunshots I hear now are deer hunters, lol, and they don't bother me at all.
