I personally know 2 people who got sick from peanut butter, in 2 diff. states. OP are you saying the contamination was on purpose?

We had the suspect peanut butter...a case of it. We took back the lids on 2 jars, just to be sure. Yep, same lot. I kept the rest of the case and we are still eating it. My son in MS had the same lot, as did my daughter-in-law at Killeen. Three cities. Same lot.

On purpose? Hmmmmmm...hadn't thought about that until now. You might be onto something.

Whatever this was about, we are still experiencing limited peanut butter supplies at our grocers.
