This one of my brothers teachers. So here's my take on the situation. First of all, everyone knows teachers should not sleep with students. Period. It's just a rule. But also, WHO IN THE WORLD thinks hiring 22 year olds to teach high school seniors is a smart idea!?! [link to www.dailystar.co.uk (secure)] In my opinion, this is not "rape". This is an inappropriate relationship, yes. Also, this whore is married, sleeping with a student, so there should be some punishment there, and her husband (who is a coach at the school...talk about an awkward work environment now) should divorce her ASAP. But she should not be a registered sex offender. I don't think she should be allowed to teach ever again. 17 years old is old enough to know what you're doing. If this were a 22 year old male teacher and a 17 year old female student, I would feel the exact same way. What are ya'lls thoughts? Oh and here is a pic that was taken of this girl during class. I mean FFS it looks like she's getting ready to film a porn. Lol. I agree with Romeo/Juliet exceptions that many states have, but what point is the law if they are not enforced? She should be registered not because of the age of the 'victim' but abuse of her position as a teacher. This is about sending a message to other teachers with similarly slippery morals. |

That picture was taken by a student during class. Who sits on their desk like that in a short skirt holding their laptop instead of using the chair? She's only been teaching for about 6 months. She was brought on as an "emergency teacher" because our state is having a teacher crisis at the moment. My brother is a horrible student who is failing all of his classes, so whether or not she could teach, I have no idea. But judging off the fact she was teaching less than a year and already sleeping with a student (and it's rumored he's not the only one), I'm going to just go with not a good teacher. There should be no legal issues here for anyone, including the school, but she should be kicked out of the profession (loss of teaching credentials) and fired. The kid is not a victim. Look at the picture of her in class, good Lord, every guy in that room probably wishes he could be "raped". Hard to feel bad for such success and no I'm not being facetious. When I was her age, I used to coach a high school team. The problem was, I liked the girls. I quit and never went back. I can't be in that environment. 22 and 16,17,18 is not that different physically though you can argue for a maturity difference in a general sense. Hiring teachers like this is asking for trouble. We're hardwired. Teacher wanted to be desired, students wanted sex. It's a bad combo. |

The age difference is so little that were they not in a teacher/student relationship no one would bat an eye. She should be fired from teaching, but not a registered sex offender.
