Those poor children , who have been taken for these and other very sick purposes need all the focus of every decent and fair=minded person , to like this courageous individual, keep searching for these missing children.

We supposedly have all this surveillance tech and face recognition , why isn't every mall and street that is being surveyed having it's data sent to police departments , where the information can be matched against missing children's profiles?????

The tech is supposed to be purportedly for public safety...... why isn't it being used for that???

They have been sentenced to two, three and six years in prison respectively.

I get where you are coming from, but where is the line that gets drawn in this wide casting net? If we take facial recognition from every single camera out there to search for missing kids and their kidnappers, should we also be searching for murderers? People with warrants? People with parking tickets? Dads who owe child support? Delinquent tax payers?

I think that box is best left closed until better regulation can be put on it.

They barely got any time. The harshest punishment of the 3 was six years. One of them only got 2 years.

If it were up to me they would be hung.

You'd think the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children would be all over that.

You can't tell me that legislation can't limit the face recognition to that of seeking out these stolen children.

This is a balance thing :-

On the one hand we have children being taken/sold and sexually assaulted from all ages even babies and also murdered and on the other hand we have grown adults concerned about avoiding getting caught for criminal acts they perpetrate.

Which is the greater moral and ethical issue here???

This can be legislated and controlled , to not do anything is to accent to children being used as sex toys.

Every parent would if they love their child but it would take courage to approach and take your own child back against these sick and sometimes violent criminals.....so yes he was brave.

But, rather overt spying on every day citizens for purposes of control./uh. yeah.

It's a tool!!! and can and should be used for the public good.

It is already being used as we have seen in the recent revelations about supposed " Opposition Research ".

I happens already , so why is it not being directed to the public benefit.
