Porn had something to do with it, but not as much as he indicates. Ted Bundy was a psychopath, a psychopath that did not receive the right nurturing to become a business mogul and that's it. This man was raised by his Grandparents who he was told were his parents. In fact his sister was his mother. His Grandfather was abusive(possibly his actual father) and he hated his mother for her lies and lack of nurturing.

Ted worked for many years at a suicide hotline. He talked people out of killing themselves. The people he worked and interacted with liked him. He was intelligent, he could fool you into thinking he had emotion. The man was a skin job, devoid of real feelings. The only real thing these people feel is the flight or fight adrenaline rush, that they get addicted to. They either get it through killing, raping, stealing, high risk jobs, bullying or manipulating. Ted did it all, the hotline had risk, he had klopemania, he murdered, he raped, he got involved in politics. He had zero remorse for his crime so i would take it as zero that he was worried about porn or the media, he was trying to have the death penalty removed.
