There is a death of critical thinking.
Here is an example.
A friend of mine is young, 20-ish. She had no idea who Charles Manson really was, other than a brief paragraph she read in a note where he died.

So she wrote on her own Facebook - Charles Manson died. Seemed kinda harmless.

So that is her opinion, maybe wrong, but it is her opinion and her facebook page.

So instead of someone replying in a logical manner, such as "well, current laws state that somebody who induces someone else to commit a crime is guilty of the same crime" people started by calling her names "idiot", etc.

So instead of having a discourse on Charles Manson, people start attacking personally.

And this has become normal.

And severely limits discourse on the subject at hand.

I find it to be true more so with liberals and snowflakes. There is no conversation, no critical thinking (please do not ask them to actually think or have original thought)
