We used to use this system on sites in da long ago to find water pipes/tizzy. Never really failed which amazed the boffins on sites.

Aye come to think on it now. Perhaps I shoulda used it on a day when I went through cables serving the North O'dengland. Sliced straight the phones in Roebuck Stevenage. Knocked out the whole O'da fookin north that day..
