Here's my story, the house I currently live in and own was built in 1978. The man who had it built had a "water witch" dowse the area for the well. I bought the house in 1988, and it in NC they normally have run the well dry to test the water levels and and so forth. They ran the water 24/7 for 3 days and the well would never run dry. It's like the well is a tapped into and under ground river. I replaced the pump, lines and foot valve and tank a couple years ago and I recorded the well depth and water level and they both matched what was record and stamped on to a metal plate on top of the wells lid. It's a 24" bored well which is cased with 24" round concrete tiles , bored 50ft. deep with a water level of 25ft. I got the same results in 2015 as it was recorded in 1978. Everybody else in the area their wells have run dry but ours is still the same as it always was. If it ever ran dry we could use the county's water system but we've had no need for it and the water has a nice delicious taste as well. Our frig. also filters the water coming in also. Seeing that every home in the area has had their wells run dry but ours was located via a "water witch". Dunno if it's a coincidence or what.
