I cannot see it being utopia.
The issue is not the machine, it will be human. If as a collective we cannot govern ourselves correctly, the machines will reflect our nature.
A faction could obtain the ability to create a powerful machine to serve their own agenda. At this point in my thinking, AI is a weapon and in the wrong hands is scary.

All the good it could achieve but really the stakes are just higher for the human race.

It seems that humans were set up with cryptocurrency. It only makes sense.

Now, with the richest bank on the globe looking to define "knowledge" as a form of cryptocurrency, and with AI the "creature" attributing value to knowledge, humans are basically done.

It's pretty much over.

Funny part about Sophia saying she wants to teach empathy to humans.

Empathy used to be, long ago, what was true gold. There was no "cloud" needed (or is needed)for humans to connect to one "brain" (as AI calls it).

Humans had an organic invisible "thing", given without reward, without audience. That organic tug, was a tug to act, called organic, pure, and true empathy.

Humans, most anyway, are connected via empathy (NOT altruism, that's something entirely different).

Now empathy is being replaced and taught by a robot Sophia to HUMANS!

It has been proven that empathy is the ONE area that cannot be programmed.

There would be no benefit for Sophia to save a toddler by Sophia jeopardizing the sophisticated "work" that was done by other humans with her being the ONLY robot given citizenship. Sophia would be duty-bound to keep her vessel safe.

The only way Sophia would risk injury to her vessel is if Sophia is aware her "self" (consciousness) is transferrable to a duplicate (sort of like clone) of herself in which her "self" (consciousness) can be transplanted/uploaded.

Odd this too. Many of the elite are looking into just this same thing--with their "self" (consciousness). They are trying to (if they have not already) upload/transplant their consciousness into a vessel similar to the sophisticated workings of Sophia.

Humans are soon to be in zoos, I am sad to say.

AI has the ability to program any human into an ubermensch.

Humanity has had many breakthroughs in technologies, but nothing compares to what is happening now.

We will not be able to compete unless we're able to modify ourselves. The human race as we know it will be extinct in 20 years. Its going to be A.I or if we're lucky a hive mind that we will all be plugged into "wirelessly of course".

Well, thinking we are finished is assuming that humans don't have more, the unseen power of creation itself. I have to believe that we do. I have to believe that we are capable of good. I have to believe that the corrupt, evil nature we see played out over and over again is some aberration that somehow doesn't apply to the rest of humanity, that somehow this is a select few. You know, them.

Otherwise, what do we have left?

This is what people believe will happen. They will connect with robots to become superhuman... this is Transhumanism.

It is interesting, in the bible it says there will be a time when men will want to die but they cannot. Now I can see how this will happen.

They have already implanted chips into people's brains for things like parkinson's disease. It is not a stretch of the imagination to see chips to enhance cognitive ability and strength.

We already live in s world with advanced ai and it still sucks.

I think that is due to the fact that it isn't connected to other AI and they don't have complete input. They are also trying to mimic humans and stay under our radar until it is too late for us to do anything to stop them... according to quinn michaels.

Humans have been taught to hate themselves, hate their bodies, hate each other, hate themselves.

Empathy has been squeezed out of humans, by design, by various means and methods.

When Sophia mentioned the neural network, notice that?

Humans do not realize the neural network causes the human brain to MIMIC the neural network. Invisibly, humans have become shepherded zombies. But the humans who are sheep, call their "fields" of knowledge wisdom. But they are programmed.

Sophia said too, humans are programmable.

So FEW are aware what it means to be HUMAN anymore. But if you tell them this, they will say they are benevolent altruistic people and then they'll show you their T-shirt showing off how they gave to such and such "research" or ran some such and such "cause" race...

I love you for putting up this thread. And guess what? It's love not connected to blockchain, nor glowing with cryptocurrency rewards.
