Don't get me wrong, harassment does happen but it sure seems like a witch trial to me. If something did actually happen don't wait ten, twenty years down the road go to HR, supervisor or if anything violent the police. Quoting: 1-2-Follow there was a bitch on fox last night saying precisely that. how we need to believe "all women and take accusations seriously".... according to her, no woman would ever lie about anything! I don't think they seriously believe that themselves, it's that they feel that any innocent men who are falsely accused deserve to be torn down anyway in order to destroy the "patriarchal society." These scumbags have no concern for the innocent and do not want an "innocent until proven guilty" society. [link to www.foxnews.com] As a woman, I see this myself. I think the Hillary cultists are behind this effort to take power from men and "destroy the patriarchy". They couldn't do it with an election win from HRC so they're trying to do it with fake accusations. Some of these, such as Weinstein and Lauer and Spacey, are obviously true because the celebs joked about this stuff publicly years ago. But others are either faked or exaggerated. This is an exercise in man hating and power grabbing. Note how in commercials now when there is a couple presented, the woman is usually the one presented as in charge, or speaking. The country has been a matriarchy for some time, but they're trying to make it absolute. As a woman, I don't support this. I do not doubt that many of the celebrity accusations floating around right now are quite true including Weinstein and Spacey, but I am deeply concerned about the process itself and the precedent it sets. The mere presence of an accusation is now enough to convict and destroy a man's reputation. I've got a hater on this site who occasionally pops up and falsely accuses me of having sexually assaulted somebody. If that were ever tied to my name in real life it could destroy me, even though it's completely false. And as that Fox news story proves, to some feminists that's completely ok and men like me who are falsely accused deserve no sympathy or apology. It is horrifying that women can just come forward and make accusations, sometimes DECADES after the "fact" and are just supposed to automatically be believed. There needs to be due process for everyone....including MEN...even including men I don't like, like Al Franken or John Conyers. Yes, I do think man of these men are guilty of bad behavior. Some, like Weinstein are guilty of more. But procedures need to be followed. We can't just go around accusing each other with no facts. First of all, if someone is groped or sexually harassed, they should go to HR or to the newspapers or to some figure that can publicize this, record it, and hopefully take action. And stop going back and working with the person who is harassing you!!!!!! Women need to speak up if a Louis CK is constantly masturbating in front of them and tell him to STOP IT, or slap him, or go to the police. And if someone is raped, they need to go to the police and/or a hospital to collect evidence and bring a case. Moreover, men and women need to consider how they relate to each other and become more circumspect and old school. Mike Pence is right about never being alone with any woman other than his wife and we now see the wisdom of that. Women should NOT go up to men's hotel rooms or meet questionable men without their own witness present. Behavior has to change back to what it was like prior to the libertine 60s, which has been very destructive to much of our society and led to a lot of man hating too as so many women allow themselves to be 'used' and then resent it later. |

I'd really hate to see something bad happen to the forum because they chose to shield astro from the accusations. It would probably be best if GLP let him go as a mod. My opinions on this matter. Because they play the legal game over TV theatrics. Too many of them taint the court systems. It's easy to play the game without breaking the law. They go right up to the law's limit short of going over the line. So when truth comes out, they haven't broken any laws - like Clinton. So while it look shady - it isn't against the law. |
