I checked 6 of my bibles and none of them read that way

If - context, then you'll find reams of 'Misquotations' Here is another example and I also have several bibles - the words of the Lord's prayer again - 'forgive us our 'trespasses'! 'Trespasses' does not appear in the 'Text' of the Lord's prayer in either Matthew or Luke in ANY bible that I have including RC bibles!
