If you are not aware, this new Trilogy is part of Disney's liberal progressive agenda which stems from Social Justice Warriors claim that Hollywood doesn't represent enough diversity in movie's because 75% of them are about white people.
To solve this silliness, a good movie by this new agenda standard must have Women in powerful lead roles. An appropriate inclusion of ethnicity and white men diminished.
However, no one cries about Bollywood making all Indian monies, or China and all the Chinese in their movies, or South Korea and all the Koreans in their movies, or Japan and all the Japanese in their movies, or Mexico with all their Mexicans in their movies.
The point it's not cultural appropriation rather simple demographics. White people making movies about White people is due to demographics not racism. Women have always had lead roles in movies going back to black and white film. Minorities have had lead roles in Hollywood and they bitch about that 25%.
