I don't watch hyped up movies. It really does not matter who likes it or not. They are still watching it.Still paid money and energy into it.

This is one movie I honestly regret watching. It is in my 10 ten most reviled movies.

1.) Ghostbusters Reboot
2.) Highlander 2
3.) Emoji Movie.
4.) Star Wars The Last Jedi

I watched the The Last Jedi yesterday afternoon at my local theater. While it was high grade entertainment to me I can't help but to strongly feel and believe that the Star Wars franchise was rebooted with The Last Jedi by the end of the movie. This means be ready to see a whole lot more Star Wars movies for the foreseeable future, guys.

It annoyed me quite alot to know that the black dude was essentially transformed into a fetch quest type of guy or character from the first movie he was in. Forgot what it was called by now. Just know that it sucked for a number of character dynamics were radically altered to be more forced and grinding to me. The black dude abruptly fell in love with the Chinese female who initially tasered him, had no real chemistry with, and ultimately prevented his most useful character development in the series - self sacrifice at the right time. She died a disparaging death but before she died she made it clear that she wanted to save him and protect him because she's in love with him. Yep... made total sense. Ugh! Then he FriendZones Rey at the end of the movie the one character he has a ton of chemistry with and gets along with quite well. It's like "Wait, what?! What the fuck, man!? Is the black dude gay now?! Rey is gay and.. what the hell!! Why is confusion so essential now?!". I personally wouldn't mind seeing Rey and the black dude, whatever his name is, getting together and being happy with each other as soon-enough-to-become-spouses.

Then there are those hamfisted moments of inexplicable chaos that lasted for long moments of time. While each of those hamfisted moments of explicable chaos were some of the most beautifully executed moments in The Last Jedi they were still hamfisted. One of those hamfisted moments just so happened to be when the new rebel Admiral while Leia was down and out till the script called for hir miraculous full recovery was when their last cruiser was running on fumes and went into HyperSpace or Light Speed as the movie kept interchanging the two different terms. That Admiral could of very well of repositioned the cruiser to better protect the completely unprotected transports. Nope. That's not what happened. Instead of running with common sense she went full Suicide Squad, the new movie standard of going full retard. She reactivates the cruiser's engines and goes FTL at Snoke's flagship. Sure that was one of the most beautiful pieces of absolute carnage and death I've ever seen in a Star Wars movie to date, and quite possibly any movie this year too, but it was totally hamfisted!

The most hamfisted infuriating BS was when the two support ships ran out of fuel they fell back very quickly and were summarily destroyed just as quickly too. Those ships' inertia should of kept those ships going their original velocities. Instead it was as if everything was taking place in a very dense yet unseen and unknowable nebula. Lose your engines, lose your life at the hands of the First Order's ships with this movie's space physics.

I could go on and on with the hamfisted moments that chipped away from my total immersion and enjoyment of what should of been this year's best movie by far, if not this decade. Instead what we get is one of the best movies with a whole lot of manufactured BS that is resolved sooner or later in-movie through almost always equally as manufactured BS. Not much of this movie felt organic. Even Luke Skywalker felt so manufactured to me. He went from showing alot of promise of becoming a great Jedi warrior with the original Star Wars movies to The Last Jedi's Luke Skywalker's becoming a whiny little shit-stirrer who will compulsively lie just to get his way till he's called out on his compulsive lying then he mysteriously tells the truth while blaming Rey for everything wrong. Luke Skywalker is not a respectable character anymore. He's just this failed Teacher who constantly blames himself and others for his failures. I don't buy it whatsoever why what's his name the new Darth Vader guy turned to the Dark Side too. He didn't wake up one morning and decided to go to the Dark Side wholeheartedly. He went to the Dark Side because the one guy who he trusted wholeheartedly betrayed him. Luke Skywalker destroyed himself and everyone else around him because the script said so. Very seriously, what the fuck, man?!

Then Luke Skywalker does his little showdown with the new Darth Vader guy out in the open to earn back his good name. Nope. Hilariously epic fight till you find out that Luke Skywalker coped out using his Astral Projection bodily form to do that fight. Then a minute or two later Luke Skywalker literally vanishes to commit suicide to commit the ultimate cop-outs in modern movie history. That didn't fill me with hope and peace, but alot of anger, but more disappointment that Luke Skywalker pussied out of literally everything and never did anything to redeem himself.

I could go on and on too...
