The town of Jackson is not a ski resort.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is in Teton Village, about 15 miles in higher elevation.

Jackson town square gets very little snow compared to the resort which gets 100's and 100's of inches of snow each year.

Russians all work at the four seasons hotel. But they are the nicest people you'll ever meet.

Last time I was there was the first week of April of 2003. US Military going into Baghdad then.

It was just D-E-A-D in that Square. Cowboy bar all closed-up. Everyone had already run off to Moab or Mexico, it seemed, as both ski operations were recently shut down (few days ago). I did ski at Grand Targhee though, for Closing Day. That was fun..

Love that town. Didn't want to leave ... and go back to REALITY..

One thing is cool about Jackson. It ain't fer sissies and wimps.

A friend of mine from North Dakota used to live down in Hoback Junction in a cabin back in the 70s. He skied the Mountain and Tram every day, and lived to tell about it. And became an alcoholic from all the JH drinking that he never overcame...

Loved the Wyoming stories about cowboys and rednecks he met there...

Was one of the highlights of my life seeing the Rockies, driving thru them, seeing the pronghorn antelope I had only read about, visiting the Custer battlefield, meeting the Sioux and the Blackfeet, going to Yellowstone...seeing wolves and bears running wild, loved it

The ones I've met in Jackson are some of the nicest people ever. We can learn from them.

Mangey Moose bar in Teton Village is cool, too. Good live music every night.

I've been going there for 15 years now, sometimes 2,3 times a year. Skiing is amazing. Nothing like it anywhere else.

I've yet to see a sedan or a car-car in the feed after 5 minutes.

All trucks and large SUVs.

Pretty much every time I'm there, they are filming something on that mountain. Lots of elite skiers there and most are very nice and will chat about the skiing if you run into to one at the moose. Teton gravity research does some amazing films as well.

That is how they roll out in Jackson.

There is more $$$$ there than you can imagine. Real money.
