In Kiev, freed the Russian expert on the crypto currency

Pavel Lerner, a Russian expert in the field of IT and block technologies, was released in Kiev. The deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Anton Gerashchenko told Reuters.
According to him, the kidnappers released an employee of the company EXMO Finance after they received a ransom of one million dollars in bitcoins. The hostage is safe, he was not physically harmed. At the moment he is experiencing the consequences of severe stress and is not able to comment.

It remains unknown who paid the ransom. EXMO Finance claims that Lerner's work in the company does not provide for access to financial assets.
On the abduction of Lerner became known on December 27. The programmer was kidnapped near his workplace - an office center on Stepan Bandera Street (former Moscow Prospect). Unknown in balaclavas, they dragged him into a minibus and fled. In Ukraine, the 40-year-old Lerner led a number of start-ups related to the technologies of crypto-currency and blockade mining.
