Re: Senate Passes Bill Requiring Citizens Report Privately Stashed Cash
Sen. Chuck Snakeinthegrassley strikes again. This is some serious BS right here, feeling the heel of the boot on your neck yet? We will soon enough. I was hoping Trump would drain the swamp which he may but there are so many laws, codes and greedy POS in government that rooting out all the corruption would take decades. It took 100 years to become this bad. As long as we're headed in the right direction I'm happy but I do wonder if we really are.
 Quoting: FlashBuzzkill

Cheer up. It won’t take that long to drain the swamp. The Trump Train has already ridden into the Storm over the holiday and has cleaned up quite a bit of the trash. Funny how Gitmo came back to bite certain people on the ass. And Grassley had better watch his. I heard rumor there might be as many as 30 congress critters who may not be returning to work after this vacation. Gitmo has a lot of room, after all!
 Quoting: PiccoloGal

I agree. If POTUS signs it, I'm going to have some real cognitive dissonance. It would be totally against what I see in his character.

ohyeah
Kamala Harris is not a Natural Born Citizen. She's illegally running.

Used by the Founders...
Book I of The Law of Nations, Chapter XIX, § 212 (Joseph Chitty numbering) – “Citizens and natives”
reads: 'The citizens are the members of the civil society; bound to this society by certain duties, and subject to
its authority, they equally participate in its advantages. The natives, or natural-born citizens, are those born in
the country, of parents who are citizens. As the society cannot exist and perpetuate itself otherwise than by
the children of the citizens
, those children naturally follow the condition of their fathers, and succeed to all
their rights.' 1758 Emerich de Vattel

Oh' What the Hell, do I look like I want to die in some nursing home one day...
America must have 4 new Constitutional Amendments...
1. Drug Tests and Mental Evaluations on all politicians and judges randomly five times per year.
2. Term Limits for Federal politicians and judges.
3. Mental and health standards for Supreme Court Justices and retirement age set.
4. A 'Star Chamber' of elected Natural Born Citizens (no attorney's) to ivestigate, try, and prosecute the politicians and government employee's as they see fit.

Mandatory death penalty by public hanging is the merciful sentence for pedos and their associates.

Democrats are a WMD, literally.

I really doubt that anyone with that kind of cash is going to report it.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 10485453

People get mortgages and the bank wants to know where they got the downpayment

One legal definition used by the bank is "mattress money" for personal savings not in a bank.

Sheesh - do I really have to roll up the change and COUNT it just in case ?!?!

Anyone that does not keep a couple hundred for power outs and ATMs down is an idiot!

We had a yard sale and made that- no way I'm putting it in a bank

I've seen fancy neighborhood yard sales where they had THOUSANDS in cash box - sales of boats and tractors -

Are they going to start crashing YARDSALES!!!!

Trump would save his supporters if he doesn't sign this crap bill!

and here is the "thing" about gold ... if you buy it in quantities LESS than ten grand, you can buy all the gold you want, without it being reported -- silver / bullion isn't reported either ... so for the smart little guy - there is no record, if he sells in in small lumps, either ... but the globalist trade in HUGE amounts for weapons, and drug deals - as well as human trafficking - they may not record, what they are doing, but those huge transfers of cash are on record

why can't you see the BIG PICTURE ... our Nation is in a state of emergency, because of the amounts of money their enemies have at their disposal to pervert the Supreme Law of this Land - they have had a year, to self-exile, now they are all going to jail... and Trump wants to make sure that they pay restitution ... and not pass it on to someone else to continue their agenda to undermine our Sovereignty ... like SOROS

I'm confident the bill will die an early death. Sponsors are among the swampiest of swamp-things. Feinstein? Orrin Hatch? Eeesh... Thankfully, we just found out Hatch will not be running for re-election. He's retiring later this year.

Also, let me reiterate... The bill hasn't passed anywhere. It's only been introduced in the Senate.

You're right. It says it passed in the original article, but the .gov site doesn't reflect that.

Do you happen to know if the site is updated immediately or does it take some time to show when a bill changes status?
