Anybody take a genetic DNA test and shocked by the results?

i've recently read that these tests were bogus. look it up about them adding in african %s just to mess with you...

Seeing as the first human lived in Africa.......

So why do so many people have zero% sub saharan african or black genetics?

Neanderthals were around longer. That DNA shows up so African should show up in everybody's but it doesn't. Ask yourself why not?

Mine has zero African, but I read it only goes back 6 or so, generations.

My mother and brother have taken theirs but no results for them yet.

Then why does neanderthal still show up? They haven't been around for at least 12,000 years +.

It didn't in mine. I did the one through Ancestry.com. Not sure how the others read.

I took mine. 78% African, 22% European.

Yes. Apparently, my genes contain 1% Jewish and 2% black. Definitely surprised by those showing up.

I'm waiting on my mother's results.

There was more Scan - (Finish/Russian) than I expected but my grandmother was adopted. I thought there would be Native American genetics based on some physical features but I think its actually Sami characteristics. There is a touch of Asian probably from the Mongol Warrior Days.

A very small, tiny percentage from Malta.
I am about to do it again, the test is sitting on my desk.
I want to see if it remains somewhat the same or some new information rolls in.

I can't belive how much Scandinavian I am. Neither side of the family ever said anything about that. Be curious when my brothers comes in. Mom might have some explaining to do. Lol

No surprise here. 100% Northern European ancestry.

From what I've read, if you have a large percentage of Scandinavian, it could actually be Scottish. Especially if you have Scottish ancestry from the northern most regions of the country. Sometimes with these tests, they don't assign it to the proper category, but it makes sense based on the history of the region.

Even the advertising in TV already goes "I always thought I was german, but then I made this gene test..".

Probably some bullshit deep state to convince people they aren't german, even though they are.

Yeah, some bullshit company really knows more about your ancestry, than your forefathers.

Mine results show 16% German, which is about right for me. My great grandmother was from Germany.

Mine broke down Scandinavia into a different category than Finnish/Russian. Finnish/Russian only shows me as 1%.
