Nonsense. I've tried the first and practise the second neither get you high.

You need to figure out why you NEED to feel high?

What are you avoiding?

What feelings are you trying to dull?

What things in your life are you not dealing with?

I have been feeling intense feeling of anxiety, despair, pain, anquish recently......it would be nice to feel some positive emotions.

Exercise does it. Ever hear of runner's high? I get a euphoric feeling after doing abduction/adduction exercises (legs).

Legit. Adrenaline and success are pretty much the only things keeping my heart beating.

Drugs do not make anything better or solve any problems. They just prolong the pain, because you never really deal with things in your life head on. When you come down off the high the problems are still there and all of the negative feelings return.

I have so many things happening in my life now too. So much sadness and anxiety and despair. Even hopeless at times. And I don’t have a single person to talk to.

I get alone with my thoughts and think things through. I pray and I wait. I take long walks and listen to nature. And I try to resolve the things that are hurting me. I am alone now, having a coffee and meditating.

Everything in this life is temporary. Everything. You have to find what makes you happy and do those things.

Working out hard. You get a euphoric feeling from it.

I was. A free high would have been great.

I drank through my marriage to make the sheer loneliness of it bearable. Didn't help. Walking out the door though - that was a blessing.
