We were in the marginal here in Northwest Indiana, but they upgraded us to slight. Currently, it is 70 degrees outside, and extremely muggy.I would not be surprised if they upgrade us again, or if my weather alarms go off. :(

Tornado warning for Dupage County in Illinois !

Tornado warning Northwest Cook County in Illinois.

The storms seem to be northwest of me, but I am closely monitoring them, as I can see the batch of clouds starting to come a bit my way.

Severe thunderstorm warning, 60 to 70mph winds, for the south end of Lake County Indiana, headed my way. CRAP !!!

The temp has jumped up to 81. We got a warm front moving in.

We are under a severe thunderstorm warning until 6:45pm central time. 60mph winds and penny sized hail.

Reported tornado in Lowell, which is about 45 minutes south of me. It's heading north, and the sky is black as night just to the south of me. The wind is really starting to pick up. I might have to sign off soon.

We are getting heavy rain right now.

Stay safe, hon. Our turn is supposed to be tomorrow. Hope not.

So far, we are OK. We are under the warning until 6:45 central, so about 11 minutes to go. Unless we get a warning, or my certified weather spotter daughter sees some rotation, I am staying online.If we get a tornado, it sure wouldn't be a first for us, as we have gone through them before, but very little damage, thank God. This one got my middle daughter's house, who lived across the alley from my old house, a new roof and siding. We had a cracked window and branches and fence down.
Go to 3:40. That is where the park cameras caught it, when it was 2 blocks away after it hit our neighborhood. FTR, the blasted thing touched down right across the street from my middle daughter's house !
