I didn't know what was worse in Baltimore...all the salt residue, or the 'black snow' that would develop near busy roadways...yuck.
Don't think I'll see much of that here. One thing for sure, if it snows, I'm not going anywhere. Baltimore this is not.....
 Quoting: TunedOut

I cant stand driving in Baltimore or D.C. as it is. Throw snow into the mix?... no thanks
 Quoting: Master of Nothing

I don't think driving here in Arkansas during a snowstorm will be any easier.
Found this video, which shows the route I take every day to work and back. He doesn't show the s-turns later on, but you get the idea. At least they have guardrails....that can't be said for other treacherous roadways here.

I wouldn't mind that drive every day. Beautiful over there. Reminds me of my drives to Morgantown wv from nova through the mountains. Miss that drive. Drove through a bad snow storm in the mountains once, I've never been so sketched out behind the wheel. Just like your road, sharp turns and steep inclines with nothing but guardrails protecting ya.

midway across on the state line of PA-NY. thanks for the 60's,OHIO. but u could keep the snow.
today we sit on the edge of a flood watch and slightly to the west,a winter advisory.have rain coming followed by snow.temps going back down to 20 highs and those sub-zero lows.guess flood watch was for the snow on the hills around us.we have only had traces of snow this yr.

rememeber the bigshots were telling us it was going to be warmer than normal this winter.sub-zero in dec is far from normal but the wrong way!!! let alone lasting so long.a few days of sub-zero at the end of jan tu mid feb is normal. winter has just started folks.we are in for it.

The magnetic field is weakening causing the jet stream to run amok which wreaks havoc with the weather. Should be interesting documenting the effects here. Great idea Mon! I'd love it if we could get into solar minimum, increased cosmic rays leading to cloud seeding which changes weather drastically, also plasma physics!!!

-30 degree wind chills a few days ago and 52 degrees today. Snow melting everywhere.

About an 80 degree difference within a week.

Same exact thing here north of Boston. Tomorrow is going to be 57 degrees, and Sunday will be 24.

Lots of flooding concerns being mentioned on the local news.

Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who being naughty in My sight, shall snuff it.

Not caught up since last night, but wanted to report that it was 57 when I went to work this morning. High around 1 or 2pm was 62. When I left for work at 4:30 it was 46, and by the time I got home 20 minutes later it had dropped to 35. I just popped out right now and it's bitter cold again. They just said on the news roads are freezing up now. I have a feeling in about an hour and going forward, I'm gonna hear a lot of sirens.
