About 15,000 National Grid customers were without power Monday night after thunderstorms swept through eastern Schenectady County, northeastern Albany County, and south-central Saratoga County. The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of the Capital Region on Monday.

At 8:47 p.m., a line of severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Glenville to Colonie, moving northeast at 15 mph, the weather service said.
