Torrential rain has caused flooding and landslides across Scotland, disrupting roads and rail travel in some areas. Roads were left underwater in the Highlands and Fife on Wednesday after the downpours.

Firefighters were called to pump out water from a number of flooded homes in Inverness while water levels reached car bonnets in Dunfermline. Later, trains were canceled between Edinburgh and Glasgow after the railway flooded at Winchburgh....
