A "watch and act" bushfire alert has been issued for parts of Cascade in southern Western Australia's Shire of Esperance.The blaze is advancing quickly north-northeast after starting near the intersection of River Road and Cascade Road in Cascade.

Emergency services have declared it out of control and unpredictable, with residents warned to leave their homes or get ready to actively defend them."There is a possible threat to lives and homes as a fire is approaching in the area and conditions are changing," DFES said. ...
