Living in Florida definitely detaches you from the winter in a way lol It was nearly 90 a few days back. high of 60 today. I lost my pants in the move down here, and see no reason to need pants ever again  Wearing shorts is the way to go but here in the SoCal mountains on my walk this morning it was freezing fog. Long pants and a coat are a must. On December 26 here it snowed for 30 hours. Very rare to have this happen here. The total snow fall was 17 inches with total chaos on the local roads and major closures on the interstate freeways. Also lots of tree limb destruction around town. The Oak tree in my front yard lost about 8 limbs one of them was about 8 inches in diameter. Major damage to the tree. I admit, i miss seeing some snow. But then i read this post and remembered how big of a pain in the ass snow can be. Sorry your tree got messed up - those some big branches that fell!
