This one storm system alone will likely put us in the top 10 wettest Jan's EVER on record... and we still have all month. For a 72-hr period, the heaviest rain accumulated on any series of Jan days since records began (125yrs) is 3.45". I'd suspect this system becomes #1.

For South Bend. Indiana is under Flood Watches. Everything north of Will County is on the Illinois side is under a Winter Storm Watch. So what we end up getting hit with depends on where the rain/snow line ends up falling.
